Foster Care Damages Kids

On February 12 the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA), the trade association for the child protection industry, produced a report showing that about a tenth of children moved into a foster home will be in a hospital emergency room in the first three weeks, and that foster alumni suffer elevated mental problems. Supporters of child protection cannot deny its conclusions, since it is their own product. Of course, the report is used to lobby for even more money, rather than keeping kids out of foster care.
