CAS Sonnet by Anne Patterson

I work for the Children’s Aid.
Got a diploma from a Kinder egg.
Have the IQ of a burned out post.
But, don’t you worry you will roast.
Our clients want your babies you see.
So screw you, and there you be!
I can do anything that I please.
Under the guise of children in need.
It’s been this way for over 100 years.
Lies, and myths, and untold tears.
Children going to pedophiles and thieves.
The guise of care with such great ease.
We’ve been running a dirty ship.
But don’t you give us any lip.
We have the powers of God.
Be you hate us or applaud.
If Marin gets oversight we are dead.
Perish the thoughts in your head.
Stealing children is for what we get paid.
60K a year, I’ve got it made!

Baby Broker Sonnet -- because I just love them so much!

My breathe smells like Roquefort cheese,
can I sell your baby if I please?
I’m a bitch and a liar, and a bitter old hag,
a baby broker parasite and a freakish old bag.
I sell babies for a living you see to anyone that breathes.
As long as they have money, even hookers and thieves.
I have no morals, and I have no soul,
my heart is just an empty black hole.
But give me your baby you young wicked thing,
think of the joy your baby can bring
to an infertile stranger for 27 grand,
with the stroke of a pen and with my own hand.
Off to the auction block the babies must go,
I have the answers don’t you know.
I’m a bitch and a liar, and a bitter old hag,
a baby broker parasite and a freakish old bag.
