The Canadian Maltese Charitable Service Trust invites everyone to this auspicious event on January 22, 2010 at 4:00 pm.
This meeting will deliver a comprehensive unabated accounting of matters concerning families. Including the workings of the local police, schools, shelters, medical care and children's Aid to help parents better understand how these organizations affect the well being of their children and families.

We know that 60% of children in the care of the society do not belong there nor / did the loving parents deserve to loose them. We know that more children die in the care of CAS that with the natural families. We know that the workers practicing social work are NOT registered with the College of Social Services. CAS = Fraud, Pergury, and Blatent Crimes against Humanity. Amnesty International shoud be joining these efforts because it is of Epidemic Proportions all over the world not just in Ontariol.
Although WE are the last province to adopt independent legislation to govern this body of MONSTERS. Ontario continues to resist Oversight, Transparency, and Ultimate Accountability. This is because 80% of the revenue comes from Ontario & private corporations such as Children's Aid Society of Ontario. There are presently 52 Independent Children's Aid Society Corporations Across Ontario.
It is time Ontarians to Speak OUT - Stand UP - THE TIME IS NOW

I have created and invited you to this event because I need your support. This poor boy that I love very much has been torn away from the only family he has ever known. As a person who has gone through the system and has lived the traumas of abandonment I implore you to help me stop it happening to another child.

Concerned ...families and parents will be demonstrating to bring public attention towards "Daniel"; the ongoing threat of seizure of foster children from stable foster homes; the institutionalization of these children and its effects; and the alleged violation of basic children’s rights.
The CAS are private corporations and as a result they act with no accountability. Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth should be answerable to an ombudsman in order to avoid abuse of power as has allegedly occurred in the case of Daniel.
This cause is tremendously important. Please give it 2 hours of your day. Roll out of bed at 1 pm, take a tylenol or 3 and show up.
If anyone has a talent, like playing an instrument, poetry, singing, juggling, please let me know. I think it would be great if you would perform.
I will make a speech at 2 pm and, if you’d like, you could come prepared to make a little statement about who you are in relation to "Daniel" and or what your experience with him and his family is, or what you think is important about family, or a poem, or a picture, or a placard, or support, or a ball, or skipping rope, that would be great!
And then we will walk around the block and return to the school meeting place.
There will be popcorn and hot chocolate. Please come early and leave early, not late and late.

Walk 2 blocks east of Spadina to Huron St, and then 2 blocks north to the school.

This Rally will begin at The Ministry of Child and Youth Services in Toronto, corner of Bay and Wellesley. We will then march to The College of Social Work which is approximately 1.4kms from the Ministry. It is important that we not only rally infront of CAS offices, but the Ministry and the College as well. The College of Social Work needs to step up and take responsibility for their duty to protect the public. They need to know that we are aware of the illegal practice of social work and it's negative impact on our society, and more importantly our families, and that they MUST do something to change it - they are obligated to do so. I have posted this rally well in advance for several reasons. First, the weather will be nicer for those who have difficulties in the cold weather, and secondly because we really, really need to have as many people as possible there to make our voices heard. With four months to prepare people will have plenty of time to make the necessary arrangements to attend. Again, if transportation is an issue please just say so, we are a good bunch of people and many do their best to see that people get there. I look forward to this event and I hope that it is a huge success!!! I will keep you posted during the next few weeks as the particulars are worked out. We will begin at the Ministry though and then make our way to the College. Thanks everyone, let's make 2011 a memorable year for all children and families, this is the year that things are going to happen. Merry Christmas everyone and all the best for 2011. ♥

WALKERTON Rally for Oversight and Accountability
We are inviting members of the media to our Rally for Accountability of Ontario’s 53 Children’s Aid Societies being held Wednesday, April 29, 2011 from 11am until 4pm at the Bruce Childrens Aid @ 5 McGivern St in Walkerton Ontario. This rally is one of dozens taken place across Ontario seeking oversight of Ontario’s 53 Children’s Aid Societies.

Some of our issues:
- We want the Ontario Government and the Ministry of Child and Youth Services to begin taking responsibility for Ontario’s 53 Children’s Societies actions and begin investigating complaints, criminal activity and wrong doing.
- Ontario is the only Province in Canada without independent Ombudsman oversight to investigate decisions or recommendation made or any act done or omitted in the course of the administration of a Children's Aid Society. We believe this will help protect children in dangerous foster care situations and innocent families.
- Many victims would like to see criminal investigations conducted against CAS.
- The Canadian Government’s Child Abuse & Neglect statistics supplied by CAS’s state most parents who become involved with Children’s Aid are 100% innocent. They are not substance or child abusers; they did not make poor parental decisions and never required involvement of any kind.
- Ontario courts and enquiries have proven children are being taken from innocent parents and some put up for adoption.
- The Children’s Aid and the Ministries Child and Family Services Review Board will not review:
  - Matters currently before the courts or the courts have already decided.
  - Matters that fall under other decision making processes under the Child and Family Services Act or the Labour Relations Act. (Every single case!!)
  - We need the media to ask Children’s Aid Societies what complaints the CAS or the Ministry of Child and Youth Service’s Review Board will not deal with.
- According to one research Doctor at the RCMP Missing Children’s Services children taken from innocent parents suffer the same effects of abduction. Most professionals agree abduction is emotional abuse.
- The Ontario Child Advocate has concerns about the high death rate among children while in CAS care.
- Children’s Aid Job Bank postings show certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc from accreditation bodies are not required. Why? Workers began using “Child Protection Worker” and not accreditation such as “Registered Social Worker” for example preventing accountability by the College of Social Workers under the SWSSW act among others.
- All 53 Children’s Aid Societies are self regulated, non-governmental organisations that should only receive more funding with oversight. This will save tax payers billions.
- Recently Sudbury Children’s Aid lawyers attempted and failed to protect Douglas Klasges a convicted pedophile & foster parent from having his name published against his former foster child wishes.
- As you may remember the Ontario Auditor General’s 2006 audit of 4 Children’s Aid Societies showed 4 out of 4 CAS’s were mismanaging our money with personal memberships, trips, SUV’s.
- Attending many of the rallies across Ontario are the wrongfully convicted of the disgraced Charles Randal Smith.
As we've previously stated the purpose of the peaceful rally is for oversight and accountability of Ontario’s 53 Children’s Aid Societies. Our requests for oversight are reasonable, not attacks on good social workers or attempts to close important services like Children's Aid Societies. Oversight will ensure safer, accountable and transparent Child protection services across Ontario and we can assure the public in some cases lead to criminal investigations. They have been entrusted to regulate themselves and these Non-governmental organizations have failed miserably.

Update: April 19, 2011 - Bill 131 was updated and reintroduced to include Universities and Independent Police Review Director and is now Bill 183, 2011.
The bill represents an overhaul of the Ombudsman’s Act to bring Ontario online with the rest of Canada by finally allowing investigations of wrongdoing and systemic issues at Hospitals, Long-Term Care Homes, School Boards, Children’s Aid Societies, Police, Retirement Homes and Universities
People will be carpooling from across Ontario. If you are able to provide transportation let everyone know or if you require transportation do not hesitate to ask.

On May 21, 2011 we will be driving a motorcade from Newmarket to Queens Park in memory of the children that die in the care of CAS each year in Ontario.
The motorcade will consist of at least 50 vehicles. The leading vehicle will be towing an open trailer with caskets representing the children who needlessly died in the care of CAS. Silenced for eternity, but their souls are crying out for OUR help to stop the suffering of other children as one child dies every 3 days of every year in CAS care in Ontario! But there are many, many more as this is not limited to Ontario. It happens in all provinces and territories in Canada!
While this will be a peaceful sombre march the message is unbearably LOUD that will be heard around the world for all to see and know how our elected officials are doing NOTHING to stop this needless tragedy!
I would encourage others to follow this plan and simultaneously on May 21, 2011, engage in this motorcade rally, in your town or city, to bring much needed awareness to the needless death and suffering of our most vulnerable, our children at the hands of CAS who are paid $1.5 billion each year in Ontario to keep our children free from harm and abuse! I find this to be a disturbingly disgusting paradox!
If you have a car and a half a tank of gas is all you need to participate. If you do not have a car then join in with others to help pass out pamphlets and to spread the word!
Lets show the world how much we the great citizens of Canada care about our most vulnerable, our children, our future!

Some of our issues:
- We want the Ontario Government and the Ministry of Child and Youth Services to begin taking responsibility for Ontario’s 53 Children’s Societies actions and begin investigating complaints, criminal activity and wrong doing.
- Ontario is the only Province in Canada without independent Ombudsman oversight to investigate decisions or recommendation made or any act done or omitted in the course of the administration of a Children's Aid Society. We believe this will help protect children in dangerous foster care situations and innocent families.
- Many victims would like to see criminal investigations conducted against CAS.
- The Canadian Government’s Child Abuse & Neglect statistics supplied by CAS’s state most parents who become involved with Children’s Aid are 100% innocent. They are not substance or child abusers; they did not make poor parental decisions and never required involvement of any kind.
- Ontario courts and enquiries have proven children are being taken from innocent parents and some put up for adoption.
- The Children’s Aid and the Ministries Child and Family Services Review Board will not review:
- Matters currently before the courts or the courts have already decided.
- Matters that fall under other decision making processes under the Child and Family Services Act or the Labour Relations Act. (Every single case!!)
  ** We need the media to ask Children’s Aid Societies what complaints the CAS or the Ministry of Child and Youth Service’s Review Board will not deal with.
- According to one research Doctor at the RCMP Missing Children’s Services children taken from innocent parents suffer the same effects of abduction. Most professionals agree abduction is emotional abuse.
- The Ontario Child Advocate has concerns about the high death rate among children while in CAS care.
- Children’s Aid Job Bank postings show certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc from accreditation bodies are not required. Why? Workers began using “Child Protection Worker” and not accreditation such as “Registered Social Worker” for example preventing accountability by the College of Social Workers under the SWSSW act among others.
- All 53 Children’s Aid Societies are self regulated, non-governmental organisations that should only receive more funding with oversight. This will save tax payers billions.
- Recently Sudbury Children’s Aid lawyers attempted and failed to protect Douglas Klasges a convicted pedophile & foster parent from having his name published against his former foster child wishes.
- As you may remember the Ontario Auditor General’s 2006 audit of 4 Children’s Aid Societies showed 4 out of 4 CAS’s were mismanaging our money with personal memberships, trips, SUV’s.
- Attending many of the rallies across Ontario are the wrongfully convicted of the disgraced Charles Randal Smith.
As we've previously stated the purpose of the peaceful rally is for oversight and accountability of Ontario’s 53 Children’s Aid Societies. Our requests for oversight are reasonable, not attacks on good social workers or attempts to close important services like Children's Aid Societies. Oversight will ensure safer, accountable and transparent Child protection services across Ontario and we can assure the public in some cases lead to criminal investigations. They have been entrusted to regulate themselves and these Non-governmental organizations have failed miserably.

then march to Native Child and Family Services- College and Yonge st.

This event is to raise public awareness of the inner workings of Ontario's 53 Children's Aid Societies. Ontario is the only province in Canada that has no independent oversight of the Children's Aid Society, and our children and families need the Ombudsman to be able to investigate these agencies.
The last pediatric review of deaths in Ontario revealed that 120 children in Ontario died in the direct or indirect care of these agencies and there have been 394 deaths in the past four years. Nearly half of the children in foster care are being medicated and families are dealing with workers that, contrary to popular belief, are not registered social workers. We need accountability and transparency, and we need to put a stop to the unnecessary deaths of children and youth, the medicating of kids and the malicious persecution of families across this province everyday.
This will be a peaceful event that will begin in Kitchener, we will travel through Cambridge and then on to Hamilton.
Please stay tuned for more details as I will be posting them shortly, and tell as many people as you can to please spread the word. You can also check out the July issue of Rider's Mag as there will be more information on this event posted there. Let's send this very important message out to as many people as possible in the community and those along the way.

Speakers from across Canada, survivors and voices for those whose lives were unnecessarily compromised or lost will reflect on stategies to improve the Child & Youth Care System.
Education is key: Stigma attached to Child Welfare largely impacts how the general population - who has yet been untouched directly - views those who have been negaitvely impacted. In order to bring forward change, awareness must emerge. The majority of those whose lives have been affected are NOT "bad parents" as might be imgained. Largely, those who are targeted by the System are families facing poverty, single parents, Native groups, individuals lacking education, parents with disability, children with disabilities, individuals who have grown up in the foster care system now raising children of their own, and grandparents. The issues are multi-fauceted, but result in alientation of loving members; mothers, fathers, grandparents, uncles & aunts, siblings and harm children. The purpose of the Child Welfare System is to build and secure families, not to tear them apart.
Society appears to be more accepting of diversity, however, legislation to protect basic human rights of individuals largely lags behind. Where enforcement of law does exist, it still tends to fail our most vulnerable. We must strive to alter the past so that the future holds better promise of constitutional adherence to law. Culpability must not only be for the general public, but also include members of Government authority who breach legislation. Transparency and acceptance of benign proposals based upon experience and studies indicate solidarity of family is crucial.

This is the only charge so far and we need to pressure both the Crown Attouney and Family and Children Services of Renfrew County to add more charges. If she was inmparied, a Child Protection Case Worker, with children in the vehicle, she of all people should have known she was endangering children and where were her co-workers?
Cynthia Racine will have her first appearance 9am on Wednesday, August 10 at the Pembroke Superior Court House, 31 Riverside Dr, Pembroke, ON K8A 8R6 for the charge of impaired.

The Bradford Rally for CAS oversight & accountability is to raise awareness of Ontario being the only province left in Canada that does not allow oversight of Children’s Aid Societies, Hospitals, Long-term Care Homes, Retirement Homes, School Boards, Universities and Police to the Ombudsman.
We demand Ontario's Ombudsman Act be amended to finally allow complaints against these public figures to be investigated.
The Ontario Provincial Election is less than 85 days away ( October 6th, 2011) & we need to ensure that only political parties who support CAS oversight and accountability get elected. Currently the NDP Party is the only party to fully support the Ombudsman and we need to ensure both the NDP & PC parties make this an election issue. This is a HUGE issue & it would be wise of them to address it & build their campaigns around.
This event is happening during Bradford's Carrot Fest which shuts down the heart of Bradford & is a celebration of our town. Every year the attendance grows & last year alone it is rumored that more then 40,000 people attended coming from as far away as Chicago & England.
There is FREE PARKING located close by but may be difficult to access due to the high attendance.
IF YOU REQUIRE A RIDE PLEASE ASK! I am speaking with people from all over to see who is interested in coming. If you can provide a ride please post where you are coming from & how many people you can bring. If you need a ride please post that you do & where you are coming from.
I do not have a finish time yet as this celebration goes ALL day & into the night & would like to see people able to stand out & help make the public aware through out the day. The more people who attend the better it will be & the more people we can help. If we get less then 20 people attending I would imagine it to be done around 2pm. If you can attend & are willing to we could use some help with printing off some of the pamphlets we will be handing out. This rally is being held to bring awareness to the community to bring accountability to the Durham Children's Aid Society, and also the Family Court system who allows them to get away with all of the SECRECY, LIES, AND CORRUPTION. This rally is being held as a peaceful movement, although we want to show them that we do have a STRONG VOICE and we will be HEARD we refuse to sit in SILENCE any longer.
We will start at the Durham Children's Aid Society, we will protest out front and are legally aloud to block them from going in for 3 minutes which will cause them more trouble then you think and from there we will then catch all the people on the way out of the courthouse for a double Whammy.
I encourage all of you who have had issues or who are dealing with issues involving the system to come out and get informed and support the movement.
Also as a former product of the system myself, I encourage all young or old who have been in there care to come out and show them the destruction and damage they have instilled within our lives.
I am also hoping to have a few guest speakers at this event and will post who they are as soon as I have conformation.

Sophie's challenge basically says that the provincial government had no constitutional authority to give CAS the power to be police, plaintiff, prosecutor and beneficiary of cases where parents are accused of abusing or neglecting their children. The very act of transferring the matter from the Criminal Code of Canada which is the constitutional authority of the Feds to the Provincial Child and Family Services (CFSA) violates section 11 d of the Charter Rights and Freedoms. 11 d is the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. As well this shift from Federal to Provincial drops the protection for the parents as well as the child to security of person section 7. And in cases where CAS apprehends the child because the parents are young this violate the child's and parent's section 15 Charter right to protection from discrimination based on age. Sophie hopes others like herself who have had their children taken away unfairly will present their story in an affidavit to the Superior Court of Justice in Ottawa in support of this challenge.

It's back again. In 2003, The Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton hosted its first Grape Expectations Gala - an evening of fine wine and food sampling in support of the Society’s Children’s Fund. Since that time the annual event has continued to grow, to progress and, most importantly, to support Hamilton’s most vulnerable children and youth having raised just under $700,000 to date.
Tickets are $100 each. A portion of the cost of the tickets will be tax receipted yet these C.A.S. workers can not afford to register with the College of Social Workers at $275 dollars a year with a portion of that a tax right off but can blow $100 dollars on a nite on the town.

The Ontario Liberal Party will be holding it's Provincial Council in Niagara Falls. It would be a good time rally outside, demand accountability and educate the MPP's and other party members about the need for expanding the Ombudsman mandate to include the MUSH sector.
This Event is to raise awareness about Ontario being the only Province in Canada NOT allowing oversight of Children’s Aid Societies. We demand Ontario's Ombudsman Act be amended to allow investigations of complaints against this public bodies.
We will also be raising awareness about the unlawful practice of social work by this private organization by handing out pamphlets.

Rally Etiquette
1. Rallies are to be peaceful protests. Please refrain from profanities, hand gestures and name calling.
2. Rallies are to only be done on public property. When at a rally unless specified by the rally organizer please remain on the sidewalks at all times.
3. When media attends a rally a designated spokesperson, such as the rally organizer, will speak to the media first and foremost. This is so that the whole cause is addressed and not personal stories. If, after the spokesperson has completed their dialogue with the reporter and, the reporter wants personal stories then ralliers can proceed 1 at a time to tell their stories. From previous experience the personal stories do not get published anyway and it just makes it look like you are a disgruntled parent with a beef.
